There are some obvious things that we miss from the United States. At the top of the list is family.
This past week we have gotten to enjoy our first family visit. Maureen’s mom and dad have been here visiting from Virginia. Before their visit, we had thought we had communicated clearly about where and how we were living, what the town of Antigua was like, who we got to minister to and just what we do in the villages. But, as clear as that communication may (or may not) have been, it pales in comparison to being here.
Maureen’s dad said it well: “If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a visit is worth a thousand pictures.”
You know, brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not without results. I Thessalonians 2:1
