These manifestaciones, however, also often block major roadways. Yesterday’s demonstrations brought traffic to a stop throughout Guatemala. “Thousands of Guatemalans took to the streets in protest on Thursday, lighting fires and blocking roads across the Central American country, to demand the resignation of President Alejandro Giammattei after the firing of a well-known anti-corruption prosecutor.” (Reuters)

Emily is creatively leading and teaching and loving the kids under her care at House of Destiny. In order to do her job well, she is getting all the training she can. Emily just finished a four-month intensive online course (in Spanish) put on by Guatemala’s government agency over adoption. She rocked it! We are proud.
