Grief. Posted on January 14, 2022 by Todd Reply About a year and a half ago, our young friend Cheyli went to be with Jesus. And now sadly, this week, her mom, Lucy, died as well. They are survived by Orlando, Lucy’s husband and Britney their third grade daughter. This is an incredible amount of grief for these two to process, so would you join us in praying for them? Our prayer is that God would be obviously present in their lives with His comfort and His love as they struggle with this painful loss. “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’
Recharging Posted on January 7, 2022 by Todd Reply Knowing full well that our lights can only shine when they are charged, we began the new year by getting away. Now, we are ready to participate in all that God has for us in 2022! Here is our simple recipe for a great personal retreat: •Get away from home (change of pace + change of place = change of perspective). •Arrive ready to hear from God. •Bring your Bible, a journal and books to challenge you. •Allow yourself freedom in your daily schedule which may include some combination of study, reading, worship, exercise, prayer and a solid nap. •Enjoy.
The Great Eight Posted on December 31, 2021 by Todd Reply Today’s Mission Erickson newsletter highlights our favorite Photos of the Week from 2021. Every Friday POTWs show up here and on our social media as a way to give you a glimpse into our life and ministry here in Antigua, Guatemala. Thanks for being with us on the journey.
Nochebuena Posted on December 24, 2021 by Todd Reply For those who are local, we’ll celebrate together tonight at IDC at 6pm! And for our friends around the globe, may you get a glimpse of the glory that was found in a manger in Bethlehem. The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish. (John 1:14, MSG) Merry Christmas!
