Worship & Coffee Posted on March 25, 2022 by Todd Reply Last Friday we gathered at a local coffee shop with the Iglesia del Camino Youth Group and some friends to worship and pray together. Thanks to the AMI Cobán team for guiding us to the feet of Jesus.
Coffee with a Purpose Posted on March 11, 2022 by Todd Reply The youth group has an espresso machine, a trained barista in Milton Gonzalez, quality locally sourced coffee and cool looking coffee cups with our sermon series logo! So now, with each cup of joe sold, we move closer to the goal of providing youth group trip scholarships to any student who needs one!
Will Smith Came to Visit Posted on March 4, 2022 by Todd Reply Every once in a while, our little Central American town garners some international attention. That was certainly the case yesterday when the Fresh Prince of Bel Air walked our cobblestone streets.*Update: This was posted before the Oscars scene with Chris Rock. As far as we know, there was no slapping happening during Will’s visit to our town.
Right Brain Processing Posted on February 25, 2022 by Todd Reply I got to lead a few groups through Psalm 1 this week. In two of the groups, we studied the passage together and then busted out the crayons to allow the right side of our brains to process the information. Try it! Psalm 1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
