When we arrive in Guatemala, our first focus will be on learning the language. We will need to make the transition from English to Spanish and will get to do so through tutoring and immersion.

Language is not all that will need to be translated. We will also be looking to translate the Biblical principles we have been employing for years in church world and apply them to our new work. This week our paradigm will shift when we spend two days at the Innovate Church Refuel Conference. As we soak up some wisdom from the likes of Chuck Swindoll and Ed Stetzer, we will be asking ourselves “How does that translate to the Guatemalan culture?”
