“Think about the cultural context in which you minister–whether it is the socioethnic culture that is predominant in your community, youth culture, or the culture of your city or region. Consider which aspects of the culture reflect the kingdom. How can you embrace those? And where is the kingdom not yet present in this culture? How can you bring the kingdom to bear upon those realities?”  Cultural Intelligence, David Livermore, (41).

These questions challenged my thinking this morning, so I thought I’d share them with you. It’s no fun being alone with deep questions and these questions most certainly apply today in Guatemala, Northern Virginia or Southie (Boston).
