Maya

Ramiro and the Iglesia El Refugio team are working towards planting a church in the tiny village of Maya on the edge of Guatemala City. We love getting to encourage this team in this vital work.

“Church planting teaches two things more than any other: that God is faithful and that we must learn how to depend on that faithful God.” – Christine Hoover

Pero, Dios

This week we finished up our “Pero, Dios” series at IDC. This series was encouraging to us as we saw how two little words could change everything…
.
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good… Genesis 50:20.
.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26.
.
Day after day Saul searched for him, but God did not give David into his hands. 1 Samuel 23:14.
.
No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son…has made him known. John 1:18.
.
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. Acts 3:15.
.
This is my gospel for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 2 Timothy 2:9.

Flexibility

The police (FIAAT) were called out on an assignment yesterday, so Maureen’s English class happened with the Iglesia El Refugio team instead. Thanks Southpoint, for your help!
