State of Siege

This morning at a local pastor prayer breakfast, someone prayed for me and thanked God for me and my family “leaving the security of our home country” to serve in Guatemala. And then I came home to this in my inbox.

I do not recall ever experiencing a “State of Siege” while living Stateside. In fact, it sounds more like the title of a Hollywood blockbuster than something I would actually experience in real life.

All the Ericksons in Guatemala are safe (Katey lives much closer to the affected areas than we do) and we are not taking for granted “the security of our home country”.

Please pray for Guate.

Aldea Pinito

This is Pinito, a tiny little town in Guatemala City. There is a great work happening in this place and we get to be a small part of it. Thanks to each of you who play a role on the Mission Erickson support team; we get to live and serve here in Central America because of you.
