Temp Check All Passengers, check. A Squirt of Hand Sanitizer for Everyone, check. Provide Valid Reason for Entry, check. Bleach Solution Sprayed on Tires, check. Most towns in Guatemala have set up their own checkpoints at their points of entry. Everyone is stopped and people are friendly. Be sure to add extra time to your travel plans!

In Guatemala, you, by law, have to wear a mask when you leave the house! That will not be an issue here this weekend because, as of last night, the entire country has been closed down. Pray for us and our host country as we all navigate COVID together.

We are looking forward to the Sunday when this callejón is filled with people again. There is just something about being together isn’t there?
