One Week Until Post Time

One week from tomorrow will be the 147th running of the Kentucky Derby. The horses are getting ready and so are we. In order to make it interesting, Mission Erickson is encouraging you to choose your horse for a chance to win some Mission Erickson Blend coffee from Cafe Don Rafael here in Guatemala. Recently we, with your help, have been able to help a friend with two much-needed eye surgeries. Her husband works as a carpenter making coffins and when there is excess wood, he gets creative. So, as a way to say thankyou, he gave us this pineapple cutting board!

The one about the early bird…

On Tuesday morning at 5:18am, one of the church security cameras captured folks lining up early for our food bag ministry. And by early, I mean 3 hours early; the food distribution doesn’t get going until about 8:30! The Guatemalan economy may be opening back up again, but the need is obviously still great as displayed by this predawn line forming.

This is easy Dad Math. When your daughter and her husband need some painting done in their ministry apartment, you take 2 days, buy 5 gallons of paint, drive 5 hours and help to make their space a home.
