The Poverty Line

This is home. This is to where we have been called. This is where we get to serve. This is the “Land of Eternal Spring”. This is the heart of Central America. This is Guatemala.

And this is a country where the poverty rate is very high. According to the World Bank, 59.3% of the population lives below the poverty line. In addition, 23% live in extreme poverty.

Pray for Guatemala and her people.

We gather together because it is important to see each others’ faces; because it is important to hear friends sing truths about God; because it is important to allow God to speak to us through the proclamation of His Word; and because it is an important part of the transformation process that prepares us to guide others towards the same path.
