Santa Cena

This weekend I get to talk about how the Last Supper fits into God’s Perfect Plan and highlight a couple of Paul’s tips on how to best participate in communion on a Sunday morning.

Thursday Mornings

This is where I spend my Thursday mornings.

Is that because my son in law, Milton, serves up a great cup of Chai?
Or is that because this coffee shop is inside the Iglesia del Camino building?
Or is that because I get to meet with a group of friends there who encourage me?

Well, yes. The answer is yes, three times yes.

Will you be my Valentine?

We got to host the Iglesia del Camino Youth Group Valentine Dinner in our condo’s backyard.

Maureen and I shared the 7 things you should look for in a potential partner: 1. Do they love Jesus? 2. Do they love others? 3. Do they respect you? 4. Do they have a vision for their life? 5. Do they make you a better person? 6. Could you spend the rest of your life with this person? And 7. Are they teachable?

What would you add to the list?

Mind Changers

I am currently taking some courses through the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy on my way to a Certificate in Fundraising Management.

At the same time, Maureen is taking a 12-week course exploring her identity in Christ with Susan Kusman of “And yet she flourished…” Biblical Counseling.

Balancing our work, ministry and course work has been a bit of a challenge, but worth it!
