While visiting family in the middle of the Heartland this week, we visited Los Tres Amigos for lunch. The challenge laid out at the beginning of the meal was to order completely in Spanish.

Clay’s throwdown challenge was fun for us and was not particularly high risk. Our three kids, all of the cousins and each Aunt and Uncle successfully ordered in Spanish and enjoyed a great meal.

Does this mean we are ready to survive in a Spanish-speaking country? Nope, we are about three Rosetta Stone levels away from that, but if you need us to order for you at a place like Los Tres Amigos, we are your family.
