This is Esvin’s old cornea.
Apparently when you have cornea transplant surgery, they give you your old cornea back like they used to do at the auto mechanic shop.
Last summer, Maureen met Esvin in Barrio de la Cruz during our VBS program and learned of his struggle with his vision and his need for this surgical procedure. It was not until this week that he was able to have this surgery right here in Antigua. Esvin and his grandmother will be staying with us during his recovery.
