The school year in Guatemala goes from January to October, so this year Katey, Clay and Emily will enjoy an extended summer break. They will, however, be meeting with a Spanish tutor through the fall. This will help them to prepare for Colegio Boston which will be their new school. At Boston, English is not taught as a foreign language but rather as a second language. They will have roughly half of their classes in Spanish and half in English. They will be well on their way to conversational Spanish by this time next year.
