Every week on our way to VBS in Santiago Zamora, we drive through the pueblo of San Antonio Aguas Calientes. This week they were hosting a rodeo so we decided to stop by. By some standards, it was your typical rodeo in that it included bulls, fences and cowboys. It did, however, surprise us when we found out that spectators are allowed in the ring with the bulls…
The photo above was taken after the bull had run his rider into the fence and then began charging around the ring looking for who to go after next. This was Spain’s running of the bulls within a small homemade ring and there was not one insurance waiver in sight.
