Dear Friends of Mission Erickson,

I have loved living here in Guatemala with my family. As you know, it was not just my mom and dad who were called here, it was each of us. For me, the clarity of that call came when I came down here with my dad on a short-term trip. My heart was changed over those ten days and God continues to change me as I get to live and serve here.

As I finish up my senior year of high school, God has impressed upon me the desire to be involved in mission work as my career. I am excited about the opportunity to prepare for a life of mission work during my upcoming college years at Wheaton College in Illinois. I have been accepted at Wheaton. I have received some financial aid. I have won scholarships. But I am still a long way from being able to financially afford this incredible opportunity. (I do not have the luxury of in-state tuition anywhere!)

There have been a few people who have expressed an interest in helping me reach my goal of attending Wheaton and have already promised financial gifts over the next four years. My home church in Virginia has set up an account for me so that the people who are interested in helping me with my college costs can do so while receiving a tax benefit and knowing that there will be a measure of financial accountabilty.

Would you prayerfully consider helping me cover the cost of my time at Wheaton College. The balance I am trusting God for is just about $20,000. Yes, you read that right, $20k per year. This is huge, but God is bigger and if He wants me there, I am confident that He will provide.
