Let me be singing…

"The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning. It's time to sing your song again. Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes." -Matt Redman, 10,000 Reasons. After spending the month of September with our support team, our families and our friends, we are ready to go back home to Guatemala. Our time here has been rich and refreshing and we have had numerous opportunities for ministry, but now we are ready to navigate through the changes that the end of 2017 will bring. This worship chorus is truly our song as we move forward: "Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes."

New Opportunities

When we make the move to Iglesia del Camino, I will get to do more teaching and I am truly jazzed for this opportunity.

Jellies

This week we made a road trip to Baltimore to the National Aquarium with Maureen's parents. As always, this place did not disappoint. They've got a special exhibit there now highlighting jellyfish throughout the world. I was impressed by the resilience of these creatures and how they flourish in even declining, polluted and oxygen sparse ecosystems. They seemed to be living out the exhortation in James 1: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." May the same be said of us as we navigate difficult waters.
