Jellies

This week we made a road trip to Baltimore to the National Aquarium with Maureen’s parents. As always, this place did not disappoint. They’ve got a special exhibit there now highlighting jellyfish throughout the world. I was impressed by the resilience of these creatures and how they flourish in even declining, polluted and oxygen sparse ecosystems. They seemed to be living out the exhortation in James 1: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” May the same be said of us as we navigate difficult waters.
