She will be missed.

(from Maureen) My sisters and I got to spend a whole day with my mom still awake before she died on Sunday, March 3. There was a lot of laughter and a few tears. It was a gift. She was truly at peace.

She was an organ donor and we received this beautiful medal on her behalf.

Many people have asked but there is no funeral planned at this time, as per her request. Please keep my father, Jim, in your prayers. He sometimes looks around the apartment for her before he remembers she is gone. Otherwise, he is well cared for and doing well.

Thank you for all the support.

Fire!

We live in a a valley surrounded by three beautiful volcanos. Fuego is the one that is active; Acatenango is the one you can camp on top of and enjoy a closer view of Fuego erupting; and Agua sits majestically off to herself. On Wednesday a wild fire began to rage on Agua’s slopes. She is about 6 miles from Antigua but there are crops on her skirt and towns at her base. Authorities believe that it will take up to five days to fully extinguish these wildfires. Join us in praying for the firefighters and for all those impacted by the fire.

Seven

There are seven miracles that John shares with us in the first half of his gospel and this is why he includes them:

“…these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:31.

These seven make up our Iglesia Del Camino sermon series heading into Easter. Join us one Sunday if you are in town.
