Snow on our Volcano

So, this week we took a few days to unwind on the Pacific coast about 2 hours from our home in Antigua. While we drifted off to sleep last night listening to the rhythmic sound of waves crashing here, our local volcano back home was being topped with snow and ice. I've only seen this one time before here in the Land of Eternal Spring. I love the contrasts and variety Guatemala provides. (Pic from LoveGuate).

Semana Santa.

The ratio of visitors to locals in our colonial Central American town is 12:1 during Holy Week. Antigua hosts the largest Semana Santa celebration in the world. This pic is from a Guardian article that concisely explains what goes on during the days leading up to Easter, check it out: HERE.

Mo, Lauren, Rachel, Emily & Sarah

Our Guatemalan staff team is complemented by stellar volunteers from the US. These are dynamic people desiring to make a difference with their lives. They travel to Guatemala eager to serve and make our team great by sharing their gifts and abilities with us. Maureen and Emily have always been key players on our RHI team. Lauren comes to us from Kansas; Rachel is from Virginia and Sarah has made the trip South from Wyoming. We'd love it if you'd take some time to pray for our North American volunteers today. Thanks!
